Terry Hall of The Specials ( Fun Boy Three…etc…)
Heres a pretty cool pic of Terry Hall wearing a Shangri-las T shirt.
Terry was in The Specials, when I was growing up they broke huge in NZ with a song called Ghost Town. It was an eerie reggae styled mash up, kinda hard to desciribe as at the time it seemed to be in a world of its own. It sounded nothing like Marley and had this weird vibe that was hypnotic. . The Band were against racism and had pretty cool political views.
Terry left The Specials after Ghost Town and formed The Fun Boy Three. I loved the debut album from this group. The album also feature vocals by Bananarama, another girl group who went on to do big things. It Aint What You Do ( It’s The Way That You Do It) was a song I drove everyone nuts with.
Terry went on to The Colourfield, Terry, Blair and Anouchka… He still gigs now. If you click the pic it will take you to his homepage.
Once a long while back…he wore a cool tshirt when he was kicking it large in the U.K .!!

Saw that Tshirt on Ebay. Real cool….
The Specials and Fun Boy Three were really big over here in England. I can’t say I was a massive fan at the time but Terry Hall has gone way up in my estimation now!
